About Our Logo Pictured Below

When Dia and Arlene were collaborating in the creation of the logo, we were looking for something that would be fun but also foreshadow the passionate discussions that we were going to have about books. We found an image, however, we didn't want to infringe upon copyright. Because we are a K-9 school, we emailed one of our grade one teachers. The subject of the email: A proposition.... In the message, we simply had pasted the link. In reply, Julie said, "I'm curious!" And, this was how our logo was born. Julie showed her grade one students the copyrighted image. Of course, they believed they could do better and so did we! This year we will have our new K-9 art teacher create a new piece of art for a new Smackdown year.
